As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our information systems and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data. You will work closely with various teams to implement security measures, monitor systems for vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard information systems and networks from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats based on company standards.

Continuously monitor security alerts, investigate potential threats, and coordinate swift incident response, including thorough analysis of security events.

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate security gaps.

Ensure compliance with internal security policies and applicable legal and regulatory frameworks governing information security.

Collaborate with the IT department and key stakeholders to align security strategies with industry best practices and mitigate potential risks.

Contribute to the development and delivery of cybersecurity training programs to enhance employee awareness and foster a security-conscious culture.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of security incidents, investigations, and corrective actions, ensuring accurate logs for compliance and reporting.

Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory updates to proactively strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in IT security or a similar area, showcasing a strong grasp of security policies, practices, and technologies.

Practical experience with essential security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.

Familiarity with security protocols, encryption standards, and best practices for secure coding.

Knowledge of compliance frameworks like GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001 is a plus.

Adept analytical skills that allow you to tackle complex issues and propose effective security solutions.

Excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain technical concepts to those without a technical background.

Having certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar would be a great advantage.
