We’re supporting a long time trusted client in Bethpage, NY that needs to hire a full-time, Cyber Security Technician.
This position sits 5 days a week on-site in Bethpage, NY.
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from 75-95K + Merit Based Bonuses + Tuition Reimbursement + Additional Benefits
Core Requirements:
Firewalls
Antivirus
Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
Phishing Tests
Comfortability with ambiguity
3-5 years of IT support or security operations experience
Experience supporting users in a Windows and Microsoft 365 environment
Familiarity with Active Directory, basic networking, and endpoint protection platforms
Understanding of cybersecurity concepts (CIA triad, MFA, phishing, malware, encryption)
Additional Requirements:
Exposure to XDR, SIEM, or other monitoring tools is advantageous
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified in Cybersecurity, CEH, or CySA+ are a plus
Major Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining and monitoring endpoint protection tools (antivirus, EDR, firewall).
Managing user accounts across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and MFA systems
