Cyber Security Engineer/Consultant
Location:Cologne, Germany or Amsterdam, Holland. Mostly remote working but office present and travel across Germany, Holland, Spain and UK twice a month. You must be eligible to travel to these destinations.
Salary:€75-85k + Bens
Fluent English Speaking Required, any Dutch, German or Spanish would be advantageous

My client, a large European provider of networking and telecoms services is looking to recruit an experienced Security Consultant to join their growing European team.
The Security Engineers support the Group by ensuring that security tooling and processes are evaluated, designed, deployed, and managed in life effectively , offering security subject matter expertise across the group in tooling and processes.
This role will drive security tool deployment in existing Group entities and future acquisitions. The role holder will have effective communication skills and a good working knowledge of security tooling and security practices.
Assist in the effective Implementation of a range of security tooling to protect the organisation’s products, applications, systems, and networks.
Develop and maintain up to date security standards and procedures.
Working closely with members of the technology, engineering, and IT teams to identify and resolve security issues.
Ensure the most up to date technical security practices are being used, taking into consideration the wide technology stack in place.
Act as an escalation point during security incidents and drive investigative and remediation actions.
Act as the subject matter expert regarding security controls and tools.
Manage security relationships with the Operational, Architecture, Development, Engineering and Design teams. Influencing output wherever necessary.
Support customer bid teams by sharing knowledge of security controls.
Support the Chief Architect with relevant industry body relationship management.
Ensure active participation with the wider security industry, nurturing relationships to share learning and best practice with each other.

Assist in the delivery of technical security controls into an organisation.
