Key Responsibilities
Drive the implementation and continuous enhancement of the organization’s enterprise-wide application and data security program, including defining KPIs to measure effectiveness.
Conduct in-depth design reviews to detect and communicate security gaps, ensuring project teams execute remediation actions aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
Embed security and privacy principles into enterprise architecture to uphold critical pillars such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
Lead enterprise risk identification and communicate risks, along with actionable mitigation strategies, to key stakeholders.
Research and evaluate emerging threats and industry trends, recommending proactive security controls and vendor solutions.
Deliver comprehensive application security services, including vulnerability scanning, secure code reviews, and cloud asset risk management.
Develop and maintain Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities to safeguard applications hosted in cloud environments.
Act as a senior escalation point for SOC Level 1 teams and Cloud Security Governance functions, providing subject matter expertise on complex incidents and governance queries.
About You
10+ years of progressive experience in industries such as Mining, Resources, Banking, or Telecommunications, with a focus on Secure-by-Design, DevSecOps, Application Security, and Cloud Security.
Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
Certified in cloud security (preferably Azure, or equivalent AWS certification).
Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as ISM, NIST, and ISO/IEC 27001.
Advanced proficiency with security technologies and architectures across cloud environments (Azure/AWS), enterprise applications, and M365.
Background as a cloud engineer or architect, with proven success in deploying and managing cloud infrastructures at scale.
