Vantage MedTech is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the development and implementation of secure software and hardware systems across our FDA-regulated medical devices. In this critical role, you will help define and strengthen the security architecture of our products, spanning embedded firmware, mobile applications, and cloud-connected platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and validate security features for embedded, mobile, and cloud-based medical device systems.

Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses.

Lead security reviews throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Support secure firmware and software update mechanisms.

Define and implement processes in compliance with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, FDA premarket cybersecurity guidance, and IEC 81001-5-1.

Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory teams to ensure end-to-end product security.

Develop and maintain security-related documentation, including risk management files and design inputs.

Support internal and external audits, assessments, and certification efforts.

Stay ahead of emerging threats and ensure proactive mitigation strategies are in place.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, ideally within a regulated or safety-critical industry.

Proficient in secure coding practices, encryption protocols, and secure communications.

Hands-on experience with embedded security, cryptography, secure boot, key management, and secure communications.

Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, FDA Pre/Post market Guidance, ISO/IEC 27001).

Understanding of privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to device data.

Certification(s) such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC, not required but highly desirable. This also includes Pen Testing Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, Pentest +, or GPEN.

Experience with security testing tools (e.g., static analysis, fuzzing, pen testing), wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) are also preferred.

Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
