Role: IT Resiliency – Project Manager / DR Coordinator

The IT Resiliency Team is dedicated to ensuring the resilience and continuity of our operations in the face of unforeseen disasters. We are currently seeking a Disaster Recovery Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in safeguarding our business operations against various disruptions.

Job SummaryThe Disaster Recovery Coordinator will be responsible for working with senior team members in designing, implementing, and managing our disaster recovery programs. Your expertise will be critical in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate the impact of disasters. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our business remains secure and resilient in the event of any unforeseen disruptions.

Responsibilities

Support Disaster Recovery Planning: Assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of disaster recovery plans, including risk assessments and continuity strategies.

Data and Risk Assessment: Participate in identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities and contribute to the assessment of their impact on business operations.

Disaster Recovery Testing: Participate in disaster recovery exercises, helping to execute and evaluate their effectiveness and recommending necessary adjustments.

Collaboration: Work alongside IT, security, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment between disaster recovery and security strategies.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and incident response protocols.

Incident Response Support: Provide support in disaster recovery efforts in the event of a disruption, assisting in coordinating response and recovery activities.

Training and Awareness: Contribute to the development and delivery of disaster recovery and business continuity training to enhance preparedness.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving threats to support the improvement of disaster recovery capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies, tools, and technologies.

5+ years’ experience in project management and proven record of leading large-scale projects in enterprise environments.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
