Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or GCIH are highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree: 8 year’s of experience.
Master’s degree: 6 year’s of experience.
Roles:
Lead and manage the cybersecurity defense team, including SOC (Security Operations Center), incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management teams.
Develop and implement cybersecurity defense strategies aligned with the organization’s risk posture and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of security monitoring tools and infrastructure (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, SOAR).
Ensure effective detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
Manage cyber threat intelligence programs and maintain situational awareness of emerging threats.
Supervise penetration testing and red team exercises to assess the organization’s resilience.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure defensive security controls are integrated into IT and business processes.
Provide regular updates and briefings to senior leadership on the security threat landscape and incident status.
Maintain and test incident response and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, NCA ECC, GDPR).
