Director of Cybersecurity

Our Dallas based manufacturing client is in search of a Director of Cybersecurity. The Director will lead the global cybersecurity strategy for a high-growth, multinational manufacturing company with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions. This role is critical in ensuring the security of the company’s expanding digital infrastructure while maintaining compliance with government regulations and industry standards such as SOC 2, CMMC, and CCRIS. As a government supplier, the company requires stringent security controls to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance. The Director of Cybersecurity will play a pivotal role in risk management, incident response, and securing IT/OT environments across global operations.

This role is ideal for a cybersecurity leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is passionate about securing critical infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in cybersecurity across a global enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with the company’s growth and acquisition roadmap.

Ensure compliance with SOC 2, CMMC, CCRIS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks, particularly those applicable to government suppliers.

Lead cybersecurity integration for newly acquired businesses, assessing and mitigating risks during M&A activities.

Oversee security operations, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response across a global footprint.

Establish and enforce robust identity and access management (IAM) controls to safeguard sensitive government and corporate data.

Implement third-party risk management programs to ensure suppliers and partners adhere to security policies.

Lead security audits, assessments, and remediation efforts to maintain SOC 2 Type II certification and CMMC Level 2+ compliance where applicable.

Collaborate with IT, operations, and business leadership to embed security into manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Drive cyber resilience and business continuity planning, ensuring minimal disruption to operations in the event of a cyber incident.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Relevant certifications: CISM, CISPM, CISSP, or equivalent.

Extensive experience in cybersecurity leadership within global manufacturing or industrial sectors.

Deep knowledge of SOC 2, CMMC, CCRIS, NIST 800-171, DFARS, and other government security regulations.

Expertise in M&A cybersecurity risk assessments and integrations.

Strong understanding of operational technology (OT) security in manufacturing environments.

Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
