Security

Responsible for the overall safety and security of guests, vendors and employees.
Supervise all procedures and controls for the Security and Facilities departments.
Reviews, revises, maintains, and implements the organization’s fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Safeguards assets of the company
Implements security department policies and procedures established by management.
Manages, directs and supervises all personnel assigned to security operations, for the protection of guests, employees and property.
Coordinate all aspects of a property safety program
Thorough understanding of state codes, fire code, OSHA, and building codes. Recommend changes on property in order to reduce injuries and comply with state codes, fire and codes and OSHA.
Train and maintain required programs in compliance with OSHA.
Ensure compliance with applicable building and safety codes, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, hazardous materials, etc.
Establish and maintain C.P.R. training program.
Maintain a working relationship with the investigation units of the local law enforcement agencies.
Monitor property emergencies, including equipment breakdowns, malfunctions, and alarm calls.
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the fire alarm systems and fire protection systems;
Responsible for maintaining and updating as needed a comprehensive safety plan, a process for facilities opening and lock-down, and an emergency notification procedure.
Coordinates with local gaming authority and law enforcement as required to support and/or conduct investigations.
Drafts and submits reports and work orders related to fire, safety, and security operations.
Provide operational overview as requested by the VP-General Manager. The scope of the overview provides no additional authority outside of their job description and must comply with reporting relationships, signatory ability, access to sensitive areas and other requirements outlined in the internal controls.
Conducts follow-up investigations on reported incidents as needed.
Ensures that security personnel appearance standards are met.
Ensuring all necessary first responder and other training modules and procedures for security staff.
Adheres to safety rules and regulations of Security Department, MGC and Mark Twain Casino.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Facilities

Knowledge of OSHA standards and SDS manuals.
Assess and monitor facility repairs to ensure cost-effectiveness. Establish criteria for repair versus replacement of facilities.
Negotiate with service providers and contractors to effect cost reductions.
Create, implement, and maintain department repair and capital improvement budgets, ensure compliance with budgetary constraints, and forecast and plans facility improvements.
Plan, develop, and prioritize projects and weekly work plans.
Coordinate and monitor the status of work orders; estimate, request, and purchases materials and equipment; and estimate labor costs;
Oversee parking operations including snow removal.

May represent the Company on committees and professional organization membership(s).
Verify department employee timesheets and payroll bi-weekly for both departments.
Maintain confidentiality of information identified regarding guests and employees.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and supervises department staff including, but not limited to, working supervisor(s), Engineers, Facilities Housekeepers, and Security personnel. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training in all areas of their department; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; documenting concerns and discipline; addressing complaints; resolving problems; control the flow of supplies and materials; provide for the safety and security of department employees. Must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming Commission License.
Must have a valid Driver License and be approved to drive company vehicles.

SKILLS

Extensive knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and security operations.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English in all manners. This position may require minimal public speaking.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
