Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and customer-oriented Door Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and security of our premises while providing exceptional service to guests. Jimmy’s on Congress is a world class Jazz and Blues listening room and supper club. Jimmy’s will be holding live music performances from 5 to 7 days a week. The service at Jimmy’s will strive to be elevated without any pretentiousness, acting as a regional destination for corporate, private and social events.
Door Staff
The door staff are the ambassadors of Jimmy’s. The door staff check Id’s and tickets, give directions and are the first point of contact when guests enter Jimmy’s. Our door staff actively maintains the feel and vibe of Jimmy’s as a listening room. On occasion the door staff will have to ask guest to keep conversations to a minimum and keep people from moving from assigned seats.
Responsibilites
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of guests, artists, and other persons to maintain security.
Provide a welcoming presence and assist guests within the venue
Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure a safe environment.
Respond promptly to emergencies or alarms and take necessary action.
Enforce property rules and regulations in a professional manner.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Responsible and trustworthy
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must have a smart phone to utilize employee scheduling app
Interest in music
Ability to go up and down stairs
Skills:
Possession of CPR, First Aid, or other relevant certificates a plus
Strong conflict management skills
Outgoing and personable attitude

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
