The Role (Relocation Opportunity):A residential opportunity in Ontario for an experienced Emergency Response professional to join a large, well established mining operation. Responsible for the coordination and direction of the Emergency Response functions & processes.
Aid the continuous improvement of the emergency management, hygiene and security measures and implementing best practice initiatives and programs to assist the site H&S team.

Key Accountabilities:
Ensuring company ER processes, procedures and standards are upheld across the mine site (Underground and surface)
Plan, organise, and improve ER site operations
Coordination of site security measures
Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations
Establishment & maintenance of companies Site Safety Management Plans, Site Health & Safety Coordination plan & Site Emergency Action Plans with relevant stakeholders
Monthly inspections and ERT training
Drug & Alcohol testing as required for new site workers
Maintenance of site emergency equipment
Core Competencies:
2-5 years minimum in similar role and mining operational site experience
Underground Emergency Response / Mine Rescue experience
Related qualifications or certificates for Health & Safety & ER
Strong background in mining legislation’s across Canada
Experienced in conducting ER training & First aid
Paramedic background highly regarded
