Meadow Ridge is the premier life care retirement community in Fairfield County, located on 136 acres in beautiful Redding, Connecticut. We are looking for a certified EMT to join our team in a unique EMT/Security role. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a safe environment for residents, families, and staff by patrolling community buildings. Conducting safety and security inspections of all community property, including common areas, parking lots, and perimeter. This role reports to the Security Manager.
Hourly Wage Range: $20-$21.25
3rd shift differential $1.00/hr
Security Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrol community property to prevent and discover activity in violation of criminal, fire, or safety codes.
Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unsecured.
Investigate and report all acts of unlawful or safety hazards that would endanger persons or property.
Investigate all incidents and suspicious occurrences, filing incident reports appropriately.
Respond to all security calls and complaints, taking necessary action and handling on-scene emergency situations until relieved by a Supervisor.
Secure and unlock areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectations.
Other duties as assigned.
