Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Security Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security systems, including fire alarms, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and low voltage electrical work. The Security Specialist will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining security measures to protect our assets and personnel.
Duties
Install, configure, and maintain fire alarm systems and IDS to ensure optimal functionality.
Conduct regular inspections of security systems, including alarm systems, to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
Collaborate with team members to design and build effective security solutions tailored to specific needs.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security equipment and systems.
Prepare schematics and documentation related to security system layouts and installations.
Stay updated on industry standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), to ensure compliance in all installations.
Assist in alarm system sales by providing expert knowledge on available products and services.
Requirements
Proven experience in field service related to security systems or similar roles.
Familiarity with fire alarm systems, IDS, low voltage electrical work, and relevant certifications is preferred.
Strong understanding of schematics and electrical principles as they relate to security installations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
