Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a critical role that requires strong surveillance skills, conflict management abilities, and knowledge of security protocols.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion
– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify any suspicious activities
– Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances
– Provide assistance to staff and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
– Enforce access control procedures to maintain the security of the premises
– Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related incidents
– Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
– Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property
– Perform first aid or CPR in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive
Skills:
– Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures
– Proficient in operating surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems
– Previous experience in law enforcement or security-related field is preferred
– Possession of relevant certifications such as First Aid, CPR, or Security Guard License is a plus
– Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
– Demonstrated conflict management skills
