Help keep UTAs employees safe on the job as a Security Guard! UTA is looking for a responsible and dependable Security Guard to assist in protecting our people, our customers, and our facilities. This opportunity offers a benefits package, including a retirement account, a pension, and many other benefits! In this position, you will primarily assist with protecting our employees by monitoring and controlling access to UTA facilities and identifying potentially unsafe activities or hazards.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Utah driver’s license with no more than four (4) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
No more than one (1) DUI violation in the last ten (10) years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to make quick, concise decisions under stress.
Mobility to respond to emergencies.
Comfortable handling multiple duties, including answering calls and transferring to appropriate offices.
Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
Ability to prepare and email daily activity reports.
Physical ability to walk long distances, sit, stand, kneel, and bend.
May need to obtain and maintain BCI access certification; CPR or first-aid training preferred.
Regular and predictable attendance required.

Schedule:
Full-time, primarily M-F nights, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with flexibility for other shifts and locations.
No security guard license required.
