What you will do
As a Johnson Controls Security Installation Team Manager for our Advanced Integration Security group , you will be responsible for Installer assignment by project to support project managers, assist with material delays and deliveries, improving installer efficiencies/abilities to deliver estimated margins or better within an assigned territory. Develops and builds on current capabilities to prepare team associates for successful job performance and installation requirements.
How you will do it
Supervise, train, mentor i nstallers by being on job sites 80% of the work week.
Develop work force size to efficiently accommodate customer and subscriber-related workloads.
Achieve direct labor budgeted headcount or more to meet customer commitments.
Assist Project Managers with installation forecast.
Fill in for Project Managers by managing some projects as needed.
Improve installation quality .
Provide installers tools to complete installations.
Confirm the right installer for the job based on abilities.
Ensure all EHS initiatives are completed , including monthly training and Pre-job checklists.
During job visits complete EHS observations to ensure installers are working safe, while keeping themselves and others safe.
Maintain technical knowledge of current standards and new developments of Commercial Security products for technicians and installers.
Evaluate system performance and efficiency to maintain and minimize equipment malfunctions.
Increase change order opportunities leading by example and mentoring the team.
Address customer complaints / issues within 24 hours with a root cause analysis recovery plan.
Help collect cash as the need arises.
What we look for
Required
Experience of technician management and/ or leadership experience.
Financial competence, ability to budget and forecast.
Positive relationship building and presenting skills ability to work up and down the organization.
Where legally permissible, if hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than their start date, unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding their from receiving the vaccine.
Demonstrate integrity, customer focus, teamwork and purpose led behaviors.
Preferred
Associate degree or experience equivalent for managing a team.
Minimum 2-4 years of security products installation and services.
