One Magnolia Place is seeking a reliable, vigilant, and professional Overnight Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors during nighttime hours. The ideal candidate will maintain a strong presence, conduct routine patrols, and respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas of the facility to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire hazards, or unsafe conditions.
Secure all entrances, exits, and sensitive areas during designated hours.
Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized individuals or suspicious behavior.
Respond to alarms, disturbances, or resident/staff concerns promptly and appropriately.
Ensure compliance with visitor policies, especially after visiting hours.
Maintain detailed activity and incident logs; report all incidents to management in a timely manner.
Provide assistance in emergency situations such as evacuations, medical emergencies, or fire drills.
Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems.
Perform wellness checks on staff during overnight hours and assist in ensuring a calm and safe environment.
Collaborate with caregiving and maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to remain alert, calm, and professional during overnight hours.
Strong communication and observational skills.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience working in healthcare, senior living, or assisted living environments.
Knowledge of basic safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Friendly and respectful demeanor, especially when interacting with elderly residents.
