We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to maintain and service fire and security systems across North Yorkshire. If you have a solid background in servicing fire alarms and security systems, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and other security systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, including BS5839 and other relevant Codes of Practice.
Collaborate with clients to diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently.
Maintain accurate documentation (timesheets, service reports) in line with NSI requirements.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
Support best practices in fire and security, ensuring systems are fully functional and compliant.
Provide technical support for fire detection and security system integrations.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in servicing fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
Strong knowledge of BS5839 and fire alarm servicing practices.
Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and provide excellent customer service.
Full clean driving license and willingness to travel within North Yorkshire.
ECS/CSCS card.
Experience with network/IP-based security products.
Familiarity with Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, and various CCTV & access control systems.
Previous experience in a customer-facing service role.
