New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program.
The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.
This position is a Cooperative Agreement position.
As a CANDIDATE, you are required to provide documentation (i.e., High School Diploma or Equivalency, College Transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.
Must be able to obtain a completion of a favorable National Agency Check background investigation clearance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
Must be at least 18 years old; AND
Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License; AND
Must obtain and maintain a minimum security clearance of SECRET per NGR 5-1
ANGI 63-101 Chapter 36-10g; AND
The State of Florida Certificate of Compliance as a Firefighter (Not earlier than 1998); AND
Firefighter (AFSC 3E731/51):

Completion of the DoD Fire Protection School

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Be in good physical condition as determined by an annual medical examination as prescribed.
Be a nonuser of tobacco or tobacco products for at least 1 year immediately preceding application, as evidenced by a sworn affidavit of the applicant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Emergency response:Respond to all emergencies as outlined by Departmental SOG/SOP’s and Mutual Aid / Reciprocal Agreements. Combat, control, and extinguish aircraft, structural, vehicle and wild land fires. Provide Haz-Mat responses and contingency responses (bomb threats, anti-hijacking, terrorist, etc.). Respond to weapons of mass destruction incidents. Aircraft emergency response. Engage in air crew extraction, passenger evacuation, and rescue. Performs aircraft arresting system rewind operations in a confined space.
