Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various security systems, including intrusion detection systems and CCTV cameras. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with various hand tools and cabling techniques. The Installation Technician will ensure that all installations meet safety standards and customer specifications while providing exceptional service.
Duties
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems and security systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Conduct assessments of customer sites to determine the best installation practices for security solutions.
Utilize remote access software for system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
Perform cabling tasks, ensuring proper routing and securing of wires in accordance with safety regulations.
Use hand tools effectively to complete installations and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and customer interactions.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in security system installation.
Experience
Proven experience in installing fire alarm systems, IDS, or similar security systems is preferred.
Familiarity with alarm system sales is a plus.
Relevant certifications in electrical work or security system installation are highly desirable.
Proficiency in using remote access software for system management is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Experience with other technology systems such as access control, Networks and WiFi, Automation and/or AV would be a bonus
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
