Description:
Unique full-time opportunity for experienced security professionals to work at the high profile 900 N. Michigan Avenue property during the evening/2nd shift (4 PM-12 AM). Position is with an in-house security group, servicing over 750,000 sq. ft. within a mixed used property that includes office and retail floors, and a 12-level self-park garage. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations during the assigned shift. Your main goal is to ensure the safety and security of the premises, staff, and customers at the 900 N. Michigan Avenue property, which will require the monitoring of surveillance equipment, patrolling the premises, and enforcing security procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities Include:
Manage and supervise a team of security officers during your shift
Monitor CCTV cameras and conduct regular patrols (either on foot or by vehicle) to ensure the safety and security of the premises
Maintain and enforce security procedures set by building management
Conduct regular inspections to identify any security breaches or hazards
Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, following established protocols
Maintain accurate records and compose detailed reports of all incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities
Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
Stay up to date on building events/operations to assist guests/visitors with directions and building information
Provide excellent customer service experience, assisting clients and visitors as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Applicants must have a consistent work history that demonstrates attention to detail in security and/or customer focused functions, with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, professional presentation, and an ability to operate within a team.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related field is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance equipment is required
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Proven experience in conflict management and de-escalation strategies
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
High school diploma required
Ability to transverse the property
*Overtime is a mandatory requirement, so ideal candidates will have flexibility to assist in coverage on other shifts, based on scheduling needs.
