Silbar Security / Silbar Franchise Group is hiring for a part time dispatcher in our National Operations Command Center (NOCC) at our Corporate Office in Chesapeake, VA
Position: Operations Dispatcher
Location: Corporate Headquarters – Chesapeake, VA
Position Summary: The Operations Dispatcher is responsible for receiving incoming calls from local, regional & national account clients, residents and potential sales on behalf of Silbar Security and our franchise locations throughout the United States.
Operations Dispatchers will relay the service calls and/or messages to designated person(s) and coordinate emergencies and other services, as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, emails, or other messages from assigned customers, franchisees and their clients.
Utilize computer software to relay incoming message of all incoming and outgoing calls and the disposition.
Ensure officers are at their scheduled posts and fill when needed.
Offers suggestions for service improvement regarding potential dispatch efficiencies.

Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively during high call volumes and high stress situations, including emergencies of all types.
Ability to exhibit dependability, initiative, and discernment in problem-solving.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and being thorough are a must.
Requirements:
Pass a criminal background check.
High school diploma or GED required.
Proficient in English (oral and written), ability to speak Spanish a plus.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Be dependable and punctual.
Emergency 911 Dispatch or Call center experience preferred.
Environmental/Working Conditions: Normal office and dispatch/call center environment. Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be adjusted as business needs dictate.
