Tahoma Global Logistics (TGL) is seeking qualified candidates for our Gate Clerk/Security position at our new warehouse facility located in Fife. Our Gate and Security Clerks direct and process trucks through our “in” and “out” gate for customer unloading. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that container and truck numbers are entered and tracked in our software and also responsible for the flow of freight throughout our property. In addition, Gate Clerks will perform 8 point inspections on all inbound trailers to meet customer security requirements. This position has 2 different schedules and are 10 and 12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities
Excellent attendance for all scheduled shifts
Greet drivers upon arrival, verify necessary documentation, input data into the yard tracking software for real-time tracking and reporting of container/truck movements
Maintain accurate systematic and paper records of all incoming and outgoing containers, including dates, container/truck numbers and details, truck details, and any other required information. Verify that all required paperwork is complete and accurate before accepting or out gating trucks.
Perform and record 8 point inspections for all inbound trucks and trailers.
Coordinate with yard hostlers, office staff, drivers, and management to ensure efficient truck handling, and movement; provide assistance to drivers to address any concerns or questions
Process BOL’s after hours for outbound trucks and keep accurate records for our customer.
Drive the property at regular intervals, after warehouse work hours, to ensure site security is maintained.
Coordinate effective teamwork and use all company resources efficiently to promote superior financial results for TGL; maintain TGL equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE
Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard TGL assets at all times
Requirements
Minimum
18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid WA driver’s license and good driving record
Ability to record, analyze, reconcile, and interpret business data; and enter data into business computer systems
Ability to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
Excellent troubleshooting skills, high attention to detail, and accuracy in executing tasks
