Gatehouse Security Shift Lead Jobs in Weston, FL at Platinum Group Security
International Residence Hall is looking for a Safety and Security Host t work overnights. The Safety and Security Host performs safety, loss prevention, conducts regular foot patrols and responds to emergency and non-emergency situations, renders assistance as appropriate, and makes reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintains a safe and secure campus by regularly traveling through assigned areas on foot, and reporting violations to the Residence Director or Supervisor. Provide assistance for Resident Lock-outs, check safety of those occupying room where fire alarm has sounded, and perform other duties as requested.
2. Reduces the potential for injury, loss of life, property theft, and/or destruction of property by conducting area checks for potentially unsafe areas, buildings, and conditions, (e.g., inoperative lighting, unlocked doors, insecure stairway railing, etc.), routinely inspecting fire extinguishers, and making on-the-spot corrections if possible or reporting the conditions to Residence Director/Supervisor.
3. Responds to weather, fire, medical, and security emergencies as well as natural disasters, utilizing the incident reporting system, assesses the situation, takes mitigation action to protect lives, property, and the environment by following procedures prescribed in the IRH Systems of Success Manual.
4. Renders assistance at medical emergencies by performing CPR or rendering first aid to the injured person(s), determining the need for additional medical attention, contacting the appropriate agency/office to facilitate emergency medical attention, remaining with the injured person(s) until relieved by an appropriate authority, and preparing and submitting a detailed report.
5. Provides a positive image of International Residence Hall by providing directions and information to Residents, Staff, and visitors.
6. Thoroughly, accurately, and professionally documents all complaints, daily activities, and incidents and submits the information to the Resident Director/Supervisor.
7. Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
8. Provide confidentiality to protect the rights of Residents, coworkers and International Residence Hall. 9. Contributes to the overall success and morale of International Residence Hall by adhering to the IRH Systems of Success manual and performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned in a professional manner.
Education:
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
Experience:
At least two years of work experience is required; experience in positions involving customer service, safety, security, loss control, parking, traffic control, fire prevention, emergency services, or related fields is preferred.
Work Shift:
Ideally looking for someone to work 8pm-4am, Sunday -Thursday
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
