Job Description
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst is responsible for working independently and collaboratively to provide decision makers and business partners throughout the Global Security organization with actionable, tailored intelligence information. The analyst will work in a 24/7 intelligence center environment. They should demonstrate geopolitical understanding, analysis, writing, and critical thinking skills. The analyst is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of incidents/events that may impact Abb Vie’s people, assets, products, and reputation.
Responsibilities
Author strategic intelligence assessments and reports on potential impacts to Abb Vie personnel, assets, and reputation, including issues like criminal activity, geopolitical instability, activism, political violence, terrorism, severe weather, or labor strikes.
Monitor various information sources to detect potential risks globally.
Monitor the travel safety and security of Abb Vie’s business travelers.
Support the Business Risk Intelligence team with tailored intelligence reporting.
Follow established writing standards, review reports authored by others, and ensure adherence to these standards.
Brief senior decision-makers on global trends and events relevant to business risks.
Collaborate with the GSOC network, both US and OUS, to provide incident awareness and crisis management support globally.
Provide support and expertise to other security-related teams and business partners.
Manage projects supporting strategic initiatives and serve as a security systems platform administrator.
Gather and prepare metrics to inform decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and experience in a Security Center or similar environment.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Experience in a corporate security environment, intelligence community, law enforcement, or military.
Flexibility to work all shifts and assist with overtime as needed.
Strong customer service, multitasking, and communication skills.
Comfortable with high-tech environments and learning new tools.
