Position Overview:
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Services Director to oversee all aspects of security operations across multiple healthcare facilities. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, managing a team of security personnel, and ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and visitors. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to foster a secure environment that aligns with the organization’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision

Lead and manage the security team, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling.
Provide guidance to security personnel to ensure professionalism, compliance, and exceptional customer service.
Develop and implement security protocols and procedures aligned with healthcare standards.

Security Strategy Development

Assess security risks across the organization and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
Update security policies to comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement proactive measures to prevent and respond to security incidents, including workplace violence, theft, and emergencies.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management

Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure security staff is trained for various emergency situations.
Serve as the lead during crisis management, collaborating with other departments to resolve security threats.

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth and efficient security operations.
Prepare detailed reports on security activities, incidents, and improvements for senior management.
Maintain communication with law enforcement and external agencies as required.

Compliance & Training

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to healthcare security.
Conduct regular training programs to ensure staff is aware of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and workplace safety.

Budget Management

Oversee the security department’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Evaluate and recommend security technologies that enhance safety while being cost-effective.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years in security management, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Prior experience in healthcare security operations is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of security systems, risk management, and healthcare-specific security needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Strong decision-making abilities, with the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Proficiency in security technologies such as surveillance systems, access control, and emergency response tools.

Certifications

Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Healthcare Security and Safety Specialist (CHSS) certifications are preferred but not required.
CPR, First Aid, and other emergency response certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and stand or walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
