Panagora Group seeks Graphic Design Consultants for the five-year USAID-funded Localize Global Health Security (LGHS) project. The project will work with local partners in priority countries to address critical health security gaps and strengthen global health security capabilities as defined in their national health security action plans, contributing to their Global Health Security Agenda 2024 targets.
The position requires an individual who is highly organized, personable, and a strong communicator. This person should be well-suited to complete a variety of information design tasks across multiple clients and deadlines. The right candidate will be a team player who takes initiative and has strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines, and who brings a fresh perspective to improve team performance, foster innovation, and ensure final product quality. The Graphic Design Consultant will report to the Learning and Communications Advisor and work closely with other project teams and staff (depending on the assignment). The Consultants will be engaged as needed for short-term assignments. This position is located remotely.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop publications, infographics, charts, maps, and other visual content for various uses, including publications, presentations, web, and social media.
Determine the best way to present data, tell stories, and convey messages to different audiences using qualitative and quantitative insights.
Review and design project-wide templates in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including report templates, letterheads, one-pager templates, story templates, using appropriate program logos.
Format documents using the USAID style guide, design cover pages, update tables of contents, and correctly apply styles.
Content edit video, select and insert overlay footage, insert static and motion graphics, titling, adding music, voice-over, and sound effects.
Accommodate client input and feedback while staying in line with the USAID branding and core messaging.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Has a strong portfolio demonstrating a passion for design and skill in visual communication and MS Office/ Word Formatting.
Familiarity with USAID graphic design style and approach to photography and videography preferred.
Knowledge of graphic programs, video production techniques, motion graphics and animation experience.
Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and data visualization software such as Tableau, Quikview, and other business intelligence tools.
Proficient in design principles, graphic design layout, type, color and print production.
Ensure that materials are consistent with LGHS’s branding and marking requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
