Amentum is seeking a Gunsmith Instructor to join a program providing support to the Department of Energy’s National Training Center (NTC) in Albuquerque, NM. This program develops and delivers a broad range of Nuclear Safety and Safeguards & Security training designed to support Department of Energy federal and contracting professionals. Essential
Duties
:
* Provides gunsmithing services including: installing and adjusting sights, trigger jobs, bluing, barrel threading, crowning, bedding, cleaning, engraving, diagnosis and repairs of firearms, after-market customization per DOE needs and preventative maintenance.
* Gunsmith instructors ensure accuracy and currency of course materials, course scheduling and operations plan development.
* Gunsmiths will conduct armorer certification and recertification for the DOE complex.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must possess a U.S Government DOE Q security clearance.
* Gunsmiths must possess a gunsmithing degree from an accredited school.
* Be proficient with machine tools such as lathes and drill presses to achieve the highest quality results.
