Job SummaryThe SVP, Corporate Security develops, implements, and administers comprehensive security plans to ensure the protection and safety of associates, visitors, and property of Raymond James. In this senior level position, the SVP leads a 24/7 proprietary security team operation for Raymond James corporate locations (St. Petersburg, FL / Memphis, TN / Southfield, MI / Denver, CO), that requires a high level of associate interaction and Service 1st concierge feel. As an experienced security professional, will utilize extensive knowledge and skills to provide security, safety, and investigative leadership to the security department staff. Manages security and criminal related investigations for the firm and will closely partner with internal business units, as well as serve as the primary interface with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Extensive contact with senior and executive management is required to provide comprehensive solutions to complex security or investigative issues.

Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPhysical Security Operations

Accountable for overall physical security across all organizational levels and multiple site locations.

Oversee physical security, electronic access control, visitor management, CCTV, and life safety systems.

Direct the development and ensure the execution of security standards, controls, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Manage an extensive security staff, identify staffing needs, and partner with HR to recruit talent.

Supervise the implementation of access control systems across Raymond James corporate and branch locations.

Responsible for the life safety management program.

Investigations

Support fraud investigations to limit financial losses through coordination with the criminal justice system.

Maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement to aid in the investigative process.

Engage law enforcement to resolve matters involving associates, criminal acts involving firm assets and impacted individuals.

Participate in the Enterprise-wide fraud risk management committee and fraud incident working group.

Participate in the insider threat assessment working group.

Threat Assessments

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the threat landscape by embedding a cohesive security risk management framework to mitigate associate and property risk.

Lead Security in partnering and collaborating with internal business units to identify risks and/or threats and reduce or eliminate them.

Support the analysis and dissemination of global risk, threat, and intelligence information to internal customers.

Support the assessment of global events that may introduce risk or impact associates traveling in those regions.

Support the firm’s criminal background check process.

Organizational Development

Grow the Security organization to align with the footprint growth and capabilities to support the needs of the growing business.

Drive the formulation, interpretation, and communication of the Security short-, mid-, and long-range goals.

Ensure the allocation of resources is consistent with long-term results.

Hire, train, and oversee the corporate protection officer program.

Foster strong relationships with external vendors and internal teams, including Legal, Real Estate, Facilities, IT, Information Security, HR, and Risk Management.
