About the Role:
We are part of a large, well-established group of companies, focused on delivering innovative FinTech solutions. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Cybersecurity to lead the development and execution of our cybersecurity strategy. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of our digital assets, applications, and infrastructure while navigating the unique challenges of the rapidly evolving FinTech landscape.
Position Overview:
The Head of Cybersecurity will oversee the newly established subsidiary company within the group with focuses on the cybersecurity operations, drive the overall security strategy, and establish a culture of security across the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of both technical cybersecurity practices and the FinTech industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cybersecurity functions within dynamic and high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth plans. Provide visionary leadership to the security team.
Cybersecurity Operations: Oversee day-to-day cybersecurity operations, ensuring the security of applications, networks, and data through best practices and industry standards.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks across all areas of the business. Lead proactive efforts in vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing cybersecurity team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure the company complies with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
Cybersecurity Innovation: Stay at the forefront of emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies, driving the adoption of advanced tools and strategies to protect the business.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and product development, to integrate security into all aspects of the business and product offerings.
Reporting: Regularly update the executive leadership team on the cybersecurity landscape, incidents, and risk mitigation efforts.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, with a strong focus on the FinTech sector.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and best practices in FinTech (e.g., PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Experience leading and scaling cybersecurity operations in fast-paced and growth-driven environments.
Expertise in threat detection, incident management, risk assessment, and security architecture.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders and executives.
Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, encryption, identity management, and vulnerability management.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC are highly preferred.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change.
