The Tactical Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of property, personnel, and assets. The role requires a highly vigilant individual with tactical training, strong situational awareness, and the ability to respond to security threats effectively.

Salary / CTC: R 12000 – R 15000 (depending on current earnings, qualifications and experience)

Report to: Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

Conduct high-visibility security patrols to deter criminal activity.

Monitor and secure premises, entry points, and sensitive areas.

Respond swiftly to security breaches, alarms, or emergencies.

Maintain a high state of readiness for immediate response to threats.

Provide armed protection where required.

Enforce access control procedures and conduct thorough security checks.

Conduct risk assessments and report any security vulnerabilities.

Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

Keep detailed incident reports and logbook entries.

Adhere to all legal and company protocols regarding security and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

PFTC Statement of Results

PSIRA Certificate (Valid Registration)

South African

Experience in tactical security operations

Tactical awareness – ability to assess and neutralise potential threats

Firearms proficiency – ability to handle and use firearms safely and effectively

Strong physical fitness – capability to engage in foot patrols and respond quickly

Situational awareness – ability to detect suspicious behaviour and threats

Communication skills – ability to report incidents and communicate with team members effectively

Integrity and discipline – adherence to company security protocols and professional conduct

Additional Preferences

Previous law enforcement or military experience is advantageous.

Ability to work in high-risk environments with confidence and precision.

Strong understanding of crime prevention tactics and emergency response procedures.
