Job Overview:The Head of Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive security program to ensure the safety of the company’s assets, employees, and executives. This role requires strategic oversight, operational management, and leadership, leveraging the candidate’s extensive military background to enhance organizational security protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Security Management
Develop and execute security policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to organizational needs.
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Lead crisis management and contingency planning to address emergencies and security threats.
Executive Protection
Oversee the personal security of executives, ensuring their safety during travel, public appearances, and at the workplace.
Coordinate secure transportation and communication protocols for executives.
Liaise with local law enforcement and intelligence agencies for threat analysis and executive safety.
Physical Security Oversight
Supervise security teams across all facilities, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Oversee access control systems, surveillance equipment, and other physical security measures.
Conduct periodic security audits and drills to ensure operational readiness.
Team Leadership and Training
Recruit, train, and manage a team of security personnel, fostering discipline and high performance.
Develop training programs for security staff, focusing on crisis management, incident response, and executive protection.
Instill a security-conscious culture across the organization through staff awareness programs.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with security regulations.
Prepare intelligence and security reports for the leadership team.
Monitor emerging security trends and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
Military Background: Retired Army Colonel with a distinguished service record.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams in high-pressure situations.
Experience: Extensive experience in security operations, risk management, and crisis response.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern security systems, surveillance technologies, and communication tools.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in security management, criminal justice, or a related field (preferred).
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations effectively.
High integrity and a commitment to confidentiality.
Availability to respond to security incidents on short notice.
