Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent loss and ensure safety.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Conduct thorough inspections of premises, including access points, to ensure security protocols are followed.
Provide assistance in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations effectively.
Administer first aid or CPR as needed in emergency situations.
Qualifications
Valid armed security officer license or certification as required by state regulations.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training may be provided.
Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is an advantage but not mandatory.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
