Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention strategies. The Unarmed Guard will operate in various settings, utilizing their skills in law enforcement and emergency response.
Duties
Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activities and ensure safety.
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of individuals on-site.
Implement loss prevention measures to protect company assets and minimize theft or damage.
Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary during incidents or investigations.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance in emergency situations as needed.
Ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Requirements
Valid security guard license or certificate is required.
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
Proficiency in conflict management strategies to handle potentially volatile situations effectively.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is an asset.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
