As an Event Security Officer, you will play a critical role in upholding our reputation by ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property.
Responsibilities
Maintain a visible and professional presence to the standards of the client and BEST.
Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure safety.
Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, perform entry screenings, and stay vigilant for suspicious activities.
Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, disturbances, or unauthorized entry.
Coordinate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to address issues.
Assist attendees, answer questions, and provide directions to offer excellent customer service.
Report security-related incidents to supervisors or law enforcement.
Document relevant activities and observations, submitting reports to leadership.
Follow company policies and procedures to maintain professionalism and security standards.
Requirements
Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary).
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
Experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is advantageous.
Strong physical fitness; ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Excellent observational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Possess or be willing to obtain a security license as required.
Pass a background check and drug screening.
