Northrop Grumman is seeking an Assistant Contractor Special Security Officer (A/CSSO).The candidate must have relevant experience supporting industrial security programs, working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions amid ambiguity, and meet deadlines. The successful candidate must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision and must possess the ability to travel to the Annapolis Junction site (15-20% of time) and respond on-site to occasional after-hours alarms.
Supports afast-paced environment; creates, maintains, and leverages working relationships with internal and external customers. Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
Current Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years security administrative experience. An additional four years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.
Must be proficient in MS Office suite (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs).
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience implementing multiple security disciplines to include personnel, physical, communications, and operations Security programs and requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions amid ambiguity and meet deadlines.
