We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our IT Security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organization’s information assets by analyzing and responding to security threats, implementing protective measures, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. This role involves continuous monitoring of systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, and collaborating with other IT teams to enhance overall security.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Monitoring:Continuously monitor networks, systems, and applications for potential security breaches or suspicious activities. Utilize security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) to detect and respond to threats.
Incident Response:Assist in the detection, response, and investigation of security incidents. Work with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, contain threats, and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
Vulnerability Assessment:Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses. Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
Security Policies and Procedures:Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
Security Awareness: Participate in security awareness programs, helping to educate employees on best practices and emerging threats. Develop training materials and conduct sessions as needed.
Access Control:Manage and monitor access controls, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information. Conduct regular audits of user access and permissions.
Security Audits:Support internal and external security audits. Prepare documentation, gather evidence, and assist auditors in understanding the organization’s security posture.
Threat Intelligence:Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends. Analyze threat intelligence to identify potential risks to the organization.
Compliance Management:Ensure that the organization complies with relevant security regulations and standards. Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
Documentation:Maintain comprehensive records of security incidents, investigations, assessments, and remediation efforts. Document security processes and procedures for reference and training.
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or a related IT role. Experience in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management is essential.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of information security principles, including risk management, access control, encryption, and incident response.
Proficient in the use of security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus software, and SIEM.
Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
Knowledge of security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
