Job Summary
We are seeking a highly vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong background in law enforcement or military service, along with skills in conflict management and loss prevention. The Armed Security Officer will utilize surveillance techniques and respond to incidents effectively while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Duties
Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or assist in investigations.
Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports for management review.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries.
Requirements
Proven experience in loss prevention or security roles is preferred; military or law enforcement background is a plus.
Additional certifications related to security are advantageous.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must possess a valid armed security license as per state regulations.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
