Overview
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION – NEED TO BE LOCATED IN RAMSEY, NJ AREA
The Information Security Intern will work closely with the Security Analysts to improve our security posture through operational activities and related project work.
Responsibilities
Utilizing the Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Tenable Vulnerability scanner, harden the Workstation and Server builds
Documentation of all STIG related activities
Assigning user privileges upon request
Review activities within our EDR platform
Review SIEM reports for applicability
Documentation of SIEM related activities
Working with the project team, review and track identified vulnerabilities until completion
Qualifications
Rising Junior or Rising Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Platform
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
Customer focused and centric
Interest in using technology to solve complex problems
Experience with programming and scripting languages, a plus
