Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to join their team and lead the charge in strengthening their cybersecurity landscape. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security strategy. You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure systems, data, and infrastructure meet the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s information security policies and procedures.
Monitor and analyse security incidents and respond to breaches or vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and compliance checks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
Provide security training and awareness programs to staff.
Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
Lead incident response efforts and business continuity planning.
Requirements:
Proven experience in information security, ideally in a regulated or enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and general security best practices.
Hands-on experience with security monitoring, risk assessments, and penetration testing.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor) are a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency is highly preferred.
Strategic mindset with the ability to manage both technical and organisational challenges.
