Information Technology Security Administrator

Location:Doral, FL or Tampa, FL – Hybrid Role

Base Pay Range:$/yr – $/yr

This position is designed for individuals with a solid foundation in IT security practices and aproven track recordof safeguarding digital assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing our security measures, monitoring system vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents with efficiency andprecision.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive security protocols and measures to enhance the protection of computer systems, networks, and data.

Perform thorough assessments of IT infrastructure to identify and rectify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

Lead security audits and investigations into security breaches, providing detailed incident response analysis and reporting.

Stay abreast of the latest security threats and trends, including tactics, techniques, and procedures, to proactively defend against security breaches.

Manage and/or coordinate with MSPs to fine-tune security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus software, patch management, and intrusion detection systems.

Develop, implement, and oversee organizational security policies and procedures.

Coordinate security permission management and maintain detailed audit logs.

Conduct and facilitate security awareness training for employees, promoting best practices in information security.

Work closely with the IT department to balance security needs with business requirements and operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency:Strong knowledge of security protocols, network security architecture, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and encryption methods.

Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze security alerts and logs, conduct forensic investigations, and interpret complex data to assess risks.

Leadership:Strongleadershipskills to guide security teams, manage incident responses, and enforce security policies across departments.

Problem-Solving Abilities:Capability to think critically under pressure, find solutions to mitigate risks, and address security gaps.

Communication Skills:Clearcommunication skillsto convey security strategies to technical teams and explain risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience in IT security.

Certifications:Active security certification(s) such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly preferred.
