Your Opportunity:Venture Solutions Inc., a Taylor company, is seeking a3rd ShiftInserting Equipment Operatorto join our team in our West Sacramento, CA location. This is an entry-level position with great opportunity for growth within the company. This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Your Shift:
Sunday – Thursday
9pm – 5:30am (3rd Shift)
Your Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate inserting equipment, in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.
Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output.
Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
Check paper for type, size, color and quantity.
Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment.
Setup, start and monitor postal mail inserting equipment such as Pitney Bowes Inserter MPS/APS system, Gunther International inserter, Bell and Howell swing arm flats inserter.
Responsible for conducting quality checks and ensuring the high-quality output of product in accordance with process standards and/or guidelines – visually inspects all machine output.
Complete all required documentation as it relates to production, quality and equipment maintenance.
You Must Have:
Strong attention to detail and be comfortable working independently
Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances
High degree of mathematical skills and attention to detail
High degree of mechanical ability
Good reading ability
Must possess the ability to pick up new learning quickly and display a willingness to train and become knowledgeable of the products/equipment operational capabilities
Must be able to read and interpret instructions and numbers (in English) at a level necessary to perform essential functions
Must possess basic computer terminal knowledge, keyboard skills
We Would Also Prefer:
Must have ability to work with very close tolerances
Ability to effectively communicate with team members
High degree of analytical skills
Good color discernment
Previous Mail Inserting experience
Pay:The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 – $23.00.
