Description:An IT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting an organization’s information systems and assets from security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and analyzing security events and alerts to identify potential threats and incidents.
Investigating security incidents, conducting forensic analysis, and implementing incident response procedures.
Assessing and managing security risks through vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
Implementing and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and comply with regulations.
Providing security awareness training and guidance to employees on best practices and procedures.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Experience with security monitoring tools, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
Knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
Previous experience in IT security roles or related fields.
