The Security Analyst role is a hybrid position based either in our Edison, NJ or Turtle Creek, PA office that will require both the expertise of infrastructure security as well as managing and supporting all EOS Energy systems and network environments. The core responsibility is enterprise security for all related data, network, and systems within EOS Energy infrastructure including analyzing security gaps and that necessary patches and updates are installed when needed. The secondary responsibility will be the monitoring, management, and support of all security applications currently being utilized at Eos energy.
Responsibilities
Develop best practices and security standards for the organization from account management, email, privilege/access control, data handling, and sharing, site access security, and exposure of confidential information.
Be the liaison between MSP and EOS Energy to perform required risk assessment including documentation, assessment of vulnerabilities to determine risk levels to the organization and prioritize proper mitigation steps accordingly. Continue to develop Eos’ security program along with IT leadership and MS, focusing on policy and procedure creation.
Understand the scope of all software and hardware used for operations and insight into key concepts and best practices for proper business use.
Perform recurring audits and be proactive on reporting possible threats in company systems, network, and/or software issues and identify assets that need protection including developing set of security controls and implementing security software including improvising physical measures. Audits include but are not limited to Active Directory, Azure, AWS, ERP, and SOX based systems, etc.
Create a comprehensive reporting of all company endpoints detailing security apps compliance of PAM, OS Patching, Firmware versions, SIEM, EDR, and other applicable software currently used at Eos Energy to ensure systems are protected from cybersecurity threats.
Remediation of OS and 3rd party application patch management of all Eos Energy servers in the IT network and select systems in the OT network; updates, patching, resource planning/changes, and asset management. Patch remediation includes Windows, Linux, and OSX based devices.
Provide guidance on physical security improvements including but not limited to badge systems, camera/IVR.
Act as a technical writer to create and properly layout documentations, procedures, and policies for IT internal and companywide use
Demonstrate high level of customer service, providing professionalism and proper communication dealing with all users at EOS Energy.
Provide security oversight of Eos’s wireless networks. This includes management of rogue devices, password cycling, AP updates, etc.
Required to travel to other remote sites as needed
Require for after hours and weekend work
Participate in training and development of other team members
Lifting heavy equipment as needed and at times assisted
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5+ years’ experience in IT security type role with intermediate experience in systems, access controls, vulnerability assessments, and networking methodologies (TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP)
Familiarity with IT security principles and protocols
Experience in securing Azure/O365 environments through policy management
Must be able to understand differences between IT and OT networks, and design processes around different network types
Understanding and experiences with CIS controls v7 or v8
Proficient in Cloud to Hybrid infrastructure
Experience with NERC CIP or ISO 270001, a plus
Technical experience in Windows Server environment including Linux
Experience in data management
Experience creating automated scripts; PowerShell, VB etc.
Knowledge in networking skills and knowledge of overall server environment methodology, a plus
Can communicate appropriately and effectively
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or engineering required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
CompTIA Security +
CISSP (a plus but not required)
Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
Travel
Overnight/North America: Less than 10%
Working Conditions
Office Environment – Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Factory – The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Customer/Partner Locations – Employee may visit customer or partner locations that may be comprised of office, manufacturing floor, laboratory environments and construction sites depending on the location and reason for visit.
