Position: School Security Officer -Twelve (12) Months Position
School / Program: The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey
Start Date: 7/01/2025- Pending criminal/registry background checks and drug screen, Clear tuberculosis (TB) screen
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or higher in any field.
Law Enforcement or Security experience with SORA license preferred.
Knowledge of security measures, i.e. Fire drills, lockdowns, etc.
Ability to think clearly and use good judgement in ordinary – and especially in emergency situations.
State, Federal Criminal Background checks and Central Registry check at the time of hire.
Ability to use technology efficiently.
Job Goal:
To provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for the safety and security of students and personnel while on school grounds; visitor management; and enforcing school and ESCNJ rules and regulations regarding safety and security.
Salary:
Minimum Salary $50,000/yr
Competitive salary and benefits package, including paid time off.
Commensurate with experience and certification.
Schedule:
8:00 – 4:00 daily with 30-minute lunch
Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person, various school locations within the district.
