JOB PURPOSE:

The IT analyst for Security Operations and Monitoring is responsible for the technical aspect of managing and utilizing the cyber defense technologies for both IT and OT. The analyst is responsible to ensure the implementation of secure network architecture with the defense in depth design.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Implement the Information Protection and monitoring strategy and architect and implement security operations and monitoring services and solutions for both IT/OT.

Define, update and follow the Information Protection procedures and guidelines.

Coordination between internal and external support teams to develop and document project design requirements to promote flexibility, scalability, reliability, security and adherence to architectural and regulatory standards.

Assess the adequacy of security controls against the regulatory requirements and the organization’s standards and policies.

Implementation of cybersecurity requirements (such as encryption, data leakage prevention, etc.) to reduce exploitation opportunities and work with various business units to ensure cybersecurity controls are adequate, appropriate, and effective.

Manage and administer the network cybersecurity solutions and firewalls for both IT and OT in addition to establishing continuous monitoring tools and technologies for security operations process and procedures.

Utilize the cybersecurity products and security control technologies (IDS, IPS, Proxy, Firewalls, Sandboxing) to reduce identified risk to an acceptable level.

Manage and administer the cybersecurity compliance solutions for IT and OT such as vulnerability assessment and change monitoring tools.

Assess, review and monitor the cybersecurity of the organization’s system implementation and testing practices to identify security gaps in security architecture to inform risk mitigation strategies.

Follow and regularly Test the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan and recommend updates including red team activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of experience.
