Capital Bank is looking an IT Security Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of the bank’s technology infrastructure and information assets. His/ her responsibilities will involve implementing security measures, monitoring for potential threats, and assisting in incident response efforts.
Role and Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization’s IT systems and data.
Monitor security alerts and logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into new technology initiatives.
Participate in the development and maintenance of security documentation and guidelines.
Contribute to security awareness training to educate employees about best security practices.
Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, working closely with the incident response team.
Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Assist in the implementation and management of security tools and technologies.
Participate in regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.
Provide support to senior security team members in various security-related tasks.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
3+ years’ of experience in IT security roles or related areas.
Basic understanding of security principles, concepts, and best practices.
Familiarity with security tools and technologies is a plus.
Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are beneficial.
