High School Diploma; must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license; have vision corrected to 20/20, and must be a citizen of the United States.
General Job Description
Firefighters engage directly in firefighting and fire prevention in order to save lives and protect property. They perform routine station and equipment maintenance activities; do related work within the job description as required, including administering first aid to injured persons.
BEGINNING SALARY: $46,801.80

Other Requirements
Applicants must pass a written examination to be eligible to participate in the hiring process. The applicant must pass an oral interview, background check, drug screening, medical and treadmill examinations and a physical ability test prior to employment.
