The role
Our manufacturing facility is at the heart of our fast-growing business, and to help us continue setting up our new Factory, we are now on the lookout for an innovative Junior Manufacturing Systems Manager to enhance our IT Operations team. This role offers a prime opportunity to shape the development of our core manufacturing systems!
WMS and MES system maintenance to ensure the factory has continuous and uninterrupted access to the tools required for operations.
Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to identify, develop, and implement WMS and MES system improvements and enhancements.
Serve as a point of contact for IT-related issues (software & hardware) within the manufacturing facility, troubleshooting problems and ensuring minimal downtime.
Work closely with the Senior IT Operations Manager to align manufacturing IT systems with organisational goals and objectives.
Facilitate user training and develop documentation to ensure users are equipped to utilise systems effectively.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and standards within the manufacturing environment.
Working with external suppliers to provide IT support within the factory, ensuring all manufacturing IT systems and infrastructure operate efficiently and reliably.
Collaborate with external support contractors and IT Operations across other Huel sites to ensure seamless integration for all users.
The shift pattern for the successful candidate will be from 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
What we’re looking for in you
This role is perfect for someone with a passion for technology and a drive to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone to help steer our technology infrastructure towards supporting our ambitious production goals! So, having experience in administering and enhancingWMS and MESor similar systems is key.
You’ll have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how IT systems support these operations. Proven ability to manage IT projects within a manufacturing setting, from conception through to implementation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest technologies and best practices in manufacturing IT systems.
Experience in working collaboratively in a team setting, including liaising with external partners and vendors.
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.
Awareness of information security principles and data protection practices.
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain detailed documentation.
