Responsibilities
Provide police and security services, including patrol, investigation, and emergency response.
Support the university community by ensuring a safe environment and assisting community members.
Prepare incident reports and assist in investigations.
Respond to emergencies and enforce laws and university regulations.
Conduct community outreach and educational presentations.
Work Interactions
The officer interacts routinely with students, faculty, staff, visitors, external agencies, and community members, representing university safety and ensuring effective communication and security.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of general work experience, with one year in security or related field.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a campus police officer commission.
Valid driver’s license with no violations in the past three years.
Completion of required law enforcement training or certification, including arrest control tactics.
Knowledge of criminal and civil law, police policies, and procedures.
Additional Information
This position is considered essential and may require on-call availability. It is designated as on-campus work and adheres to university policies on work mode.
